Diabetes affects 34.2 million people in the U.S. and more than 422 million worldwide. Diabetes can cause damages to multiple organs in our body and is associated with serious complications, which costs more than $327 billion in the U.S. every year.
Although genetic factors play an important role in the development of type 2 diabetes, proper management of lifestyles such as diet and physical activity can stop or greatly slow the development of diabetes.
This internship project is to build an interactive and intelligent APP to assist users to input the correct information by design. The continuous glucose data will be integrated into the APP so that users can have access and view everything in one APP. The impact of lifestyle on glucose level will be analyzed in real-time by our backend knowledge system and specific advice will be pushed back to the users to correct their behavior.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a wide range of developmental disabilities that affects the brain and impacts communication, behavior, and learning. Most of the children are diagnosed around ages 3 to 6. As of 2018, 1 in 44 children is diagnosed with ASD with 1 in 27 boys and 1 in 116 girls. The estimated economic burden of ASD in the US is $461 billion by 2025.
Our research-oriented product solution aims to build an AI platform that applies modern therapy theories to assist with training on emotional cues recognition and social interactions.
Via strong partnerships with Autism therapy organizations and neural developmental medical doctors, we bring cutting-edge conversational AI and immersive VR experiences to the home environment. The solution is low-cost and sustainable for the general public who have a need for ASD treatment.
